Cha-Cha: Cha-Cha is an 8-count dance, once only seen on ballroom dance
floors, which has now progressed to being very popular in Country-Western
and Swing Dance clubs as well. It’s basic pattern consists of a rock step
and two triple-steps. Cha-Cha is a sensual, Latin dance, which accentuates
the hips. It is playful in mood, and has a distinctive rhythm all of it’s
own, as the dance begins on the 2 count in the music, instead of the 1 as in
most of the other dances. |
