Foxtrot
This is a dance everyone needs to know. The ultimate in ballroom dancing, Foxtrot
is up-tempo, fun, and really easy to learn. Did you ever watch those old Ginger
Rodgers and Fred Astaire movies? Most of their beautiful dance routines were
Foxtrot. It's an absolute necessity if you want to go to a ballroom dance and
not have to sit out most of the songs. Foxtrot steps are a combination of Quicks
and Slows, but moves free-style across the dance floor, unlike Country Two-Step’s
forward progressive, circular direction. If you only learn one dance, this should
be it, as it is adaptable to most tempos – it’s perfect if you’re
going on a cruise or to a wedding and need to learn to dance in a hurry.
